We are a small (but perfectly formed) independent crew who specialise in uniquely designed printed textiles of the highest quality. OBSESSED with Scottish culture, old and new, our style is a brew of street culture and Scottish history influenced by the AWESOME imagery and landscape that surrounds us. The result, is a range of textiles and clothing that proudly shouts about the quality of homegrown design. Our tees are hand screen printed by traditional methods and our aprons, tea towels and bags are made from the highest quality organic quality which is ethically sourced. Despite the Pirate himself having size 13 feet, we strive to keep our carbon footprint as wee as possible. Everything we print is made locally in Glasgow or in the UK. We recycle packaging where we can and try our best to rid the world of the dreaded carrier bags...even on rainy Glasgow days and yes, that means a lot. Our emphasis is to provide consistent quality, not quantity. We don't want to be a massive multi national decepticon skyscraper firm....we'll leave that to those who look good in suits.

Things have been a little quiet on the media’s recently. Our summer events have all come to an end and we’re just taking stock of what’s happening next.

There’s still plenty printing going on, for ourselves and others, working on a whole load of new designs for upcoming events and before the end of the year and beyond.

Totally unrelated to the usual tshirt stuff, we took the in-law to London for her birthday to see Voyage over the weekend. Suffice to say I want to immediately go back to see it again.

I’m not the biggest ABBA fan, I like their music when it comes on, prefer some of their more underrated songs (Eagle is amazing!!) but I honestly don’t know what my eyes just witnessed. It shows you how amazing things can be if you can do lighting well. The whole show is like a live firework of sound and colour!

I was quite intrigued about how the show was made, it looks to be something a kin to the technology in the sphere, but regardless of how, it’s looked real enough to me, the movements of the ABBAtars and reaction of the clothing is enough to cause wonder.

Sadly no filming is allowed during the performance, it’s probably a good thing, but means you can’t relive it as often as you’d like.

Just means we’d need to go back to experience it again. :)

The caber toss isn’t all about strength, it’s mostly technique. A caber can weigh between 20 to 50kg, but as the weight is along the length of the it can be tricky to get a proper balance.

The aim of throwing (or tossing) the caber is so that it flips the full length and land perfectly straight. 12 o’clock.

The toss is graded as to how many minutes it is to the perfect 12.

Bowhill Highland Games

The last games of the Scottish season and another we’ve never attended before. It’s a free event and has all the events you’d expect from the Highland Games. Here’s hoping the sun stays out. Apparently the ‘Big Man’ has been spoken to and it has been assured.

Blairgowrie (and Rattray) Highland Games.

Usually our last Highland Games of the season, but this year we’ve found another to attend. :)

I really like this games (even though the weather is usually a bit soggy). The usual Highland Games events, but loads of stalls, lots of variety, plus they have a dog show, where our wee guy won 2nd place in the best smile competition. It also has a unique tug-of-war. Rattray v Blairgowrie. At least 50 a side to see shich is the best part of the town.

Peebles Highland Games!

Down in the borders for this ‘highland’ games. The usual fare with the heavy events and races. This games also has a pipe band competition, so we ll be listening to bagpipes all day.

We’ve also decided to release a brand new Highland Games tee…just as we reach the end of our season. When inspiration strikes!!
