Gently Created - thinking partner & co-creator for founders & creatives Most business problems aren't solved by adding something new. They're solved by seeing what's already there more clearly.

I'm here to help you do that — and find a calmer, steadier way to earn from the work you care about.

Because it’s the thing you can see, it’s tempting to jump straight in and fix it. Happens all the time.

A client came to me convinced she had a sales page problem — it wasn’t converting and she was ready to rewrite the whole thing. But the issue was earlier. Her Facebook ad targeting was off. The people landing on the page were never going to convert, no matter how good the copy was.

She didn’t need a new sales page. She needed someone to ask different questions first. Which is why I always pause before changing anything.

If you read that and thought that’s me. There’s a place I think you’ll enjoy.
The Snug (link in bio) is a small room I keep on the internet for founders and creatives who love the work but find the business around it has become a slog.

A weekly note, a bit of figuring things out together, occasional swaps and quiet matchmaking, and an invitation to Moan at the Moon. All on me.

Probably for you if you’d rather think clearly than think fast. Probably not if you’re after quick wins or growth hacks.

Door’s open. Come on in.

If you’ve been quietly fed up with something in your business this month, come and have a moan about it.

Thursday 7th May, upstairs at The Moth and Moon in Falmouth. 6pm-ish til 7.30. Ten places, free, swipe for the details.

Not a networking thing. Not an empowerment thing. Just a pub and a bit of a moan.

Not every problem is the real problem. And not every fix moves things forward.

These 4 (& ½) questions are what I use to check, before I pour time, energy and care into the next thing so that I’m actually aiming at the right one.

I thought they might help you too. Link in highlights.

Any questions about the questions,I’m here.

Was visiting my parents recently and I’ve been percolating on this ever since.

Not sure I like being back on social media. It’s so loud. So many people telling me what I’m doing wrong with my business, my health, my life. And very loudly.

I know I don’t have to compete, or even contribute in that way. But what I don’t know is how to have a presence here if all I want is to make connections and support others.

So whilst I figure it out- here’s a puppy I spent time with this weekend 🐾🥺

Since we’re on a bit of a 90s nostalgia trip, I thought I’d share mine.
Pick a field.
Keep going.
Each season builds on the last.

This girl had no idea.

Theatre. Finance. Web design. Three careers that felt fairly random at the time — and turned out to be three lessons I use every single day. Turns out careers don’t always make sense going forwards, only in hindsight.

Now I help founders make sense of their businesses — untangling what’s really going on before changing a single thing.

The first job I properly chose, I just needed all the others first.

Anyone else have a career path that only made sense in hindsight?

For years, as a web designer, the most valuable thing I did had very little to do with design.
It was the conversation before the design.

The moment a client came in wanting a new website… and we worked out together what the actual problem was.

Those slightly awkward conversations about what was really going on became my favourite part of the work.

So now, we start there.
Figuring out what really needs attention, before you change a single thing.
If this sounds familiar, I’d be curious to hear.

Right, feast-or-famine cycle. We’ve all been there.

Busy through referrals → projects flying out the door → lovely buzz of being properly busy → then... tumbleweeds.

So you dust off the networking shoes, start posting on LinkedIn again, book those coffee meetings. The exhausting hustle begins anew.

BUT you’re already paying for a team member who’s currently just sitting there looking pretty while you do ALL the work.
What if they finally pulled their weight?

What if you could do less of whatever marketing you hate doing and just... have a rest and a cuppa?

Meet Anti-Hustle Site Strategy. 3 months of coaching to turn your decorative website into your hardest working team member.

Link in bio if you’re tired of doing it all yourself.

Time to give that lazy website employee a proper job description 🤣
