Africa Sets Global Standards for Ethical AI

BHM has released a groundbreaking white paper: Africa's first comprehensive AI Ethics Framework for media and communications.

The OMOLUABI-AWARE Model demonstrates how African perspectives can drive global innovation in technology governance. By integrating African ethical principles (Omoluabi and Ubuntu) with international AI standards, it creates something genuinely new.

BHM’s research reveals significant readiness challenges across the continent:
● 73% of professionals lack confidence identifying cultural bias in AI
● 66% struggle to detect AI-generated misinformation
● 90% of organisations aren't prepared for incoming regulations

This framework provides practical solutions while positioning Africa as a leader in responsible, human-centric AI development.
