A report by McKinsey & Company has found that responses to COVID-19 have brought about years of change to the way companies in all sectors and regions do business.

The survey’s findings suggest that most respondents recognise technology’s strategic importance as a critical business component, not just a source of cost-efficiency.

As a result, pandemic-related changes to business operations and increasing migration to the cloud are expected to remain after the crisis.

This, via the BBC: a stark reminder to change your router passwords from the default settings. Now fixed, about 6 million Sky routers had a software bug that could have allowed hackers to take over home networks of those who had not changed the router's default admin password.

The government plans to ban default passwords being pre-set on smart devices. Can't come soon enough! Read this story via BBC about a couple who (like many) hadn't changed the default passwords for their router or admin webpage, leaving it open to hacking.
