Sorry about this folks, but I'm about to take this page down very soon. It would be unfair to say there's no interest in Fab Labs in the UK ... but not enough interest to raise the money to actually do anything. There have been one or two efforts to start Fab Labs, but I've lost heart and lost the energy. And I've no idea what we'd do to keep a Fab Lab open during Covid, even if we had one.

I've taken up bee keeping and am going to build a new mashup bee hive this winter. That, gardening, and being a grampa to two granules takes all my interest these days.

If anyone else wants to take this over, please let me know.

Spindle on the Blackfoot: https://www.buildyourcnc.com/Item/spindle-inverter-2!2kw-spindle-novfd

This is a 2.2 kilowatt spindle which roughly translates to 2.9 HP. The spindle is water cooled which requires a pump and tubing. We are using a 300 gal/hr pump that can be purchased from the home improvement store submerged in a bucket of water, but a chiller can also be used.
