To provide Support to users of our software, which is installed at GP Surgeries right across the UK. Our company has a reputation for providing first class support to our clients, frequently going above and beyond the basic requirement of keeping them operational.
The software packages that require support are our Dispens-IT, Stock-IT and Mars-IT IT Products, details of which can be found through the company website at www.vivitech.co.uk
A desirable trait from the candidate, but not essential, is a keenness to be come involved in the development of software using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio. There is also the opportunity to help develop the company's website.
Essential Skills:
Sound knowledge of MS Windows administration and networking.
Database knowledge, especially MS Access.
Excellent communication skills and patience!
Be able to get instructions across clearly and concisely.
Driving licence and own transport for occasional site visits and because of our rural location.
Desirable Skills:
Good SQL skills.
Using tools such as Visual Studio.
Experience of .NET Framework.
Documentation writing.
Experience of software development life cycle and software testing.
Full support training will be given to the right candidate.
This role will allow the prospective candidate to develop themselves within a small software development company and may eventually lead to other roles should the candidate show proficiency in the area. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in the software industry.
