Testing some logging which is release intent now, 92 versions prepared for 4.0T. 2nd-3rd change on stock calibration C8 RS6 in RS mode. Few points of interest seen logging at 200Hz: 1. Here 5 cylinders are cut for 0.1s. Sometimes it is less and shorter. 2. After cylinders are cut there are interesting feathering patterns in the lambda sensors. 3. Tiny throttle closure. 4. Little oscillation in engine speed after the next gear engages. (The GE_ stuff in German was logging some extra PDUs from the TCU).

Recent DEADBEEF Flash developments. Nice and smooth 200Hz traces on a throttle blip. Need to automate some things to feed into this, then write the instructions. Don’t send messages about when you can test! We refuse to over promise, but it’s not far off now!

Optional update 20 December 2025:

* Tricore Compiler set to CPU TC29xx, output more files

* Show more information when programming pre-conditions not met

* Relax version check for some 2.5T

On another note, testing for multiple software versions for flex fuel/map switching/custom code features is progressing well. Once more versions are internally tested and documentation is written we’ll do a closed beta initially for 4.0T where they can be bench recovered if necessary, although in development I’ve never had to do this.
Making a tool to help tuners configure map switching and review their changes. I don’t want to have to explain double pointers, so tuners can just type in the address of a map they want to switch then tell it which map switches they want that to be in and it will find space and build the file for you copying the stock data and fixing the tables. It makes it self service and will have instructions that we’re working on next.

Posted • This newly acquired 992 Carrera S came to us looking for some more power and improved appearance. For this car we installed:

- Lowering springs
- Wheel spacers
- High flow exhaust
- Upgraded air filters
- Custom tuning

Tuning on with power numbers came in at:

Stock (with hardware): 412 WHP / 411 WTQ
Tuned (91 octane): 481 WHP / 556 WTQ
