I worked on a couple of new pictures while exhibiting at the Concours des Légendes last weekend. Now back in the studio I have produced a test print and working out what the next carving will be by working over it with pencil. The car is a Morris Cowley, the pub in the background is in Tunbridge Wells.

This is an imaginary scene of this ultra rare Alfa Romeo 1900 Sports Spider. The car competed in the Mille Miglia and there is now only one remaining of the two cars built by Bertone in 1954.
This is a new picture and will be displayed for the first time in the Artist Pavilion at Wilton Concours Des Legends on June 19 - 21. A hand printed limited edition of just 10 copies.

This scene was inspired by my time as a passenger on the famous Lands End Trial. I was competing in an Austin Special but there were some beautiful MGPAs taking part. Some of them competed in period and it was that thought that was the inspiration for this picture.

This image will be on display at the 2026 ARTIST PAVILION at Wilton's Concours des Légendes, Salisbury June 19–21.

Another image inspired by the Horseless Carriage Exhibition in Tunbridge Wells last year. Held on the historic Pantiles, some incredible cars were on show. It included this Aston Martin DB4GT, displayed by Dylan Miles. The rarest of all DB4GTs, this is one of only six lightweight cars prepared for competition. It was driven to victory at Goodwood on its first outing by Sterling Moss.

During the preview event at the RAC Club’s Art of Motoring exhibition, a conversation with another artist got me thinking. He wondered why, in most cases, the art showed whole cars when just a detail would do. Actually, there was art depicting only details, but the conversation led me to produce these works.

As a member of Tunbridge Wells Motor Club, it was a pleasure to help out at the revival of the Horseless Carriage Exhibition, held at the historic Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. The inaugural Horseless Carriage Exhibition took place in Tunbridge Wells in 1895. This beautiful venue showcased an impressive collection of motor cars, including this Jaguar XK120 Roadster, a 1953 RAC Rally competitor.
