We’re pleased to welcome Moheem Afolabi to GEW headquarters in West Sussex, for a program of intensive technical training on GEW UV systems. Moheem is part of the technical support team at Exact Solutions in Lagos, GEW’s exclusive distributor for Nigeria and Ghana.

We regularly work together with our international distributors to train their teams, enabling them to provide responsive, fast and effective local service and technical assistance to GEW customers, wherever they might be in the world… it’s an extensive network that ensures comprehensive global support.

GEW’s latest technological development, EOS, brings massive innovation to our power supply and control systems, with both end users and OEM customers set to benefit from this innovation.

For OEMs, EOS bring Flexible Power to their printing presses, offering anything from a fully turnkey solution to a minimum scope of supply, that can involve as little as just one lamphead, one PSU and one cable. OEMs can choose an EOS-powered UV system with varying degrees of support, including an optional HMI and optional remote monitoring, and EOS can be integrated directly into their presses using OPC-UA.

Both OEMs and end users also benefit from the Intelligent Curing that comes with EOS-powered UV lamps. This means intelligent, serialised cassettes, for improved telemetry, end-to-end encryption of all communications traffic, and enhanced remote monitoring functionality. End users will generally be provided with fully turnkey solutions when retrofitting their press with an EOS-powered UV curing system.

EOS is the infrastructure upon which GEW’s UV curing systems will be built over the next 10-15 years and it replaces our RHINO power infrastructure in its entirety, although GEW will continue to support RHINO-powered UV systems in the field. EOS-powered UV systems will remain compatible with GEW’s patented ArcLED technology, meaning customers can easily interchange between GEW’s curing technologies on press.
