Behind the Build at BrightonSEO – Part 3

This time, Dave and Ryan talk us through some of the lighting infrastructure that goes into Auditorium 1 and what it takes to get everything ready before the lights even come on.

From truss and rigging to power, control and cabling, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to bring the lighting setup together.

It’s another part of the build that most delegates will never see, but one that’s essential to creating the finished event they experience when the doors open.

We’ve just added the Mira 450 IP Pixel Batten to our lighting inventory.

Featuring 18 individually controllable RGBL pixels, the Mira has a punchy 6° native beam, with our stock also supplied with 20° diffusion for a wider, softer output when required.

IP65 rated with Art-Net, sACN, DMX and RDM control, they’re a versatile addition for conferences, awards shows, live events and outdoor productions.

Behind the Build at BrightonSEO – Part 2

This time, Louis talks through the lighting setup in Auditorium 1 and why it needs to work just as well on camera as it does in the room.

With every session filmed, an even front wash keeps speakers clearly lit, while backlight adds depth and helps the stage look its best on screen.

It’s one of the many details that creates a polished experience for both the live audience and those watching the sessions online afterwards.

For JTC Group’s “Genesis Era” event at South Lodge Hotel, we transformed the conference space into a premium branded environment focused on presentation impact, delegate experience and seamless technical delivery.

South Lodge Hotel provided the perfect setting for the event — an incredibly elegant venue with beautiful architecture and a premium atmosphere that worked perfectly with the lighting and stage design.

- Large-format Rear Panasonic Projection
- Custom black stage set
- Full audio solution with Sennheriser EW-DX paired with EM Acousitcs PA
- Atmospheric lighting
- ⁠Presenter recording using Panasonic 4K Cameras.

We recently supported the Palliative Care Congress at the Brighton Dome and The Old Courthouse, delivering AV across five spaces over two days.

With multiple rooms and hybrid elements involved, the focus was on keeping everything smooth and consistent - supported by a centralised preview system and our team on-site throughout. Lighting and PA was provided by the venue, with mics and all video delivered by us! ✨🎥

Last week, Tobias and Sev attended two days of Luminex training at A.C. Entertainment Technologies Training Centre 👏

Focuses included network fundamentals for event production on day one, and more advanced topics on day two covering DMX processing, nodes and splitters, and how these integrate within larger lighting and AV network infrastructures.

The team gained a lot from their training and came away with strengthened expertise in networked lighting and AV systems, helping to ensure that Avensys continues to deliver reliable, modern event technology! 🎥
