A new employee’s first day should be about meeting the team, learning the role and getting started — not waiting around for a laptop to be configured.
One of our clients recently had a new team member joining and needed a new laptop prepared. They purchased the device, and we took care of the rest.
We built the laptop using our trusted hardened security configuration, installed the required business software, applied the latest updates and checked that everything was working correctly.
We also provided a detailed multi-page handover document showing exactly what had been completed. This gives the client a clear record of the device setup, security measures and important information they may need in the future.
The best part? The laptop was fully prepared five days before the employee’s start date.
That meant there was no last-minute rush, no delays and no new employee sitting at a desk unable to work. On day one, the laptop could simply be handed over, allowing the team to focus on welcoming and training their new colleague.
Good IT preparation is not just about setting up a computer. It is about removing disruption, reducing risk and helping your business run smoothly.
If you have new employees joining, plan their technology in advance. A properly prepared device can make a big difference to their first impression of your business.
