// I’M READY FOR MY CLOSE UP 🔍

Realised I’ve never actually shared a clear close up of the stock my greetings cards are printed on. I searched high and low for a card that I loved, I really wanted them to look and feel that little bit special, because they’re being sent out to you guys… and, let’s face it, you deserve the best. 🥰

Soooo here it is in all its glory. (Well I think it’s glorious anyway, but then again I am a smidge biased!) All of my cards are printed to order on high quality 280gsm ridged, nettuno stock. So they’re lovely and tactile and have a nice fancy feel to them 🤩.

I print every single card to order in my own home studio (let’s be honest, it’s a spare room / office / dressing room / studio), and soooo much love is put into each and every one of them 💛.

I hope you’re all having a wonderful start to your week and things are starting to look a little bit festive wherever you are. I am 86% through the process of turning my little house into a grotto 🎄🤗.

Sooo I’ve been absolutely rubbish at actually mentioning my sale on here… so I thought I’d pop my excitable noggin on here to celebrate that it’s still going! 🤗

There’s still 15% off EVERYTHING over on my little shop…. // HAPPY CHRISTMAS TREE WEEKEND! 🎄

(Pssst cheeky 15% off sale just dropped on my Etsy account for everything including my Christmas card bundles, that’s running for a week 🥰. Missed the Black Friday boat due to general uselessness, obviously 😆)

Anyone else adamant that their tree needs to be up on or around 1st December or you’re just missing out on far too much festivity? This weekend is (hopefully) the weekend I get my tree, and get him ready to go in all his dressed up glory. Eeeeee 🥰🤗

Last year’s tree was an absolute legend, I called him Malcolm. He was a ridiculous 6.5 foot tall and I had to teeter on a chair to decorate him. Who knows what I’ll come back with this year, I can’t promise I won’t get carried away. Name suggestions welcome! 😆

I’m also off for a festive spa day today for my wonderful friend’s 40th birthday. We’ve just got to battle through this blizzard to get there, (and then face the excruciating prospect of squeezing my winter warming rolls into a swimsuit) and we’ll be in that hot tub with Prosecco in no time. 🥂

// MY FIRST LOVE…

Is and always will be, Heinz tomato ketchup. 😆 I can’t help it, it’s just too good. I probably double my calorie intake when I crack it out of the fridge, but it’s really hard to care when it’s that delicious. 🍅 If you’ve ever eaten in my company, this is likely to come as no surprise to you. Tomato me up!

Soooo it was only right and proper that it features on a doodle! Alongside a lot of other deliciousness of course. This print is called ‘The Larder’ and is available in A5, A4 or A3 from my little Etsy shop. (When Etsy isn’t having a mare that is!)

I can’t believe there are now 2.5k of you happily (I hope!) following along on my little doodling adventure. If you google what that looks like, it’s all a bit mind boggling 🤯. This is such a milestone and I’m sooo beyond thankful! I have definitely neglected Daffy a bit more than I’d have liked to the last month or so, and it means the world that so many of you have stuck around and still continue to support me and share so much love and kindness. 🥰

Hope you’re all having a cracker of a week. I’m soooo enjoying being back on here (if still not quite as active as I’d hope to be!… easing myself back into it 🙃)

Today has been a good Thursday, me and my wonderful bookclub girls (it’s wine club really, let’s be honest 🍷) have booked a cheeky escape to Devon for January which will help no end with the old January blues! 🤗

Also, it’s SO nearly Friday, what an absolute treat. I’m off to London for a Mexican night with a MARGARITA TAP! 🤗 Must dig out my sombrero!What are you wonders up to this weekend? Anything nice? 🤗💛

// IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE...

The 'C' word! How on earth we've already got to the time of year where we're talking about Christmas is beyond me. I swear it should be June... But here we are, and I've drowned myself in gingerbread lattes, lit the fire, and finally managed to pull my finger out and hit launch on my little Etsy Christmas shop! (Serenaded by Buble. Obviously).

I'm so excited about it, and I really hope you like them! I'd love to know which your favourite is, please let me know in the comments.

There's a real mix of my illustration style cards and my hand-lettering. Also a couple of treats inspired by my local pals who frequently call me 'babber' and tell me everything is 'gurt lush'.

They can all be bought individually OR, for the first time I've launched a cheeky bundle option. So, you can choose your own pack of 3, 5 or 10 cards, and pick whichever designs you like!

Hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday evening whatever you're up to. I now plan to flop down in front of the fire with an offensively large glass of wine to congratulate myself. A huge thank you again to everyone for all the kind, wonderful comments on my last post. I was so blown away by it. It's so good to be back!

// I’M BACK 🙃

Ohhh it’s been too bloody long! Soo much longer than I ever intended, so sorry to have gone M.I.A. on you all… And can’t thank you enough for all of the beyond kind messages 🥰.

I caught a horrid bug/sinisitus/chest infection a month ago (which even meant cancelling mine and ‘s debaucherous Greek weekend last minute - still not over it 😭), then had a few days of feeling fairly normal, before coming down with another lurgy that’s floored me. Apparently my immune system went to Greece in my place. 🏝🇬🇷

Anyway… Real talk! What with that, and some other stuff going on in the background that zapped my emotions some what, something had to give…And it makes me so sad that it was insta and you wonderful lot. (Who ironically would have probably perked me up continuously, had I managed to show up!) Well aware that many of you wonders are probably juggling illness, parenting, working, insta and goodness knows what else! But I had to listen to what my body needed I think, and it was to let go of the pressure of something. 💛💛 Its important to remember that it’s always okay to take a break I think!

I’ve also put off posting again for a while as I know the insta algorithm lords are going to punish me 🙈,& I didn’t want to come back and then vanish again. But then I realised that the only way to get back to ‘normal’, is to just try and start. Something is better than perfect after all 🙃.

So here I am! Making zero promises, and with no expectations. But I’m going to try and be a little bit more consistent on here. Daffy&Dee brings me so much joy, and I’m so determined to keep seeing it grow 🤗.

// 2,470 of you, one of me, I make that gin o’clock 🙋🏼‍♀️

Anyone who knows me will struggle just as much as I have to figure out why on Earth it has taken me quite this long to add a gin inspired print to my little Etsy shop. I mean, really, it’s a no brainier. 😆

Soooo here it is! It took me a while to figure out how to lay out my little gin bottle doodles, but I’m quite happy with how this turned out. I’m going to call it ‘the Gin Bar’ I think 🙌🏼… I really hope you like it 😊.

I have been failing at insta again recently (ooooops), but there is a lot of doodling going on behind the scenes I promise! Keep your eyes peeled for some more prints in a similar style to this coming soon… there might be one featuring another of my loves…. (Cough, ketchup, cough)…. in the pipeline. Again, anyone who knows me will be flabbergasted that good old Mr Heinz hasn’t featured already. 🍅

// BAKE OFF NIGHT 🧁

Summer might be drawing to an end, but there is one sweet, spongey and carby reason to be chirpy…

Bake off is baaaack! THE most comforting tele ever. Who’s going to be watching? I’m seriously contemplating baking along every week…. Although living alone I might well end up needing one of those cranes to rescue me from my bedroom by Christmas if I go down that route 😆.

Mazza and Paul are a little slice of retro bake-off for you, but they are the pioneering originals after all! You can’t beat Mary in my opinion.

// NEVER STOP EXPLORING

This print has been on my Etsy shop for a while, but I realised I’d never shared it on here! (Numpty) Bit different from me, but I really am still trying to find ‘my style’ and love trying new things with my doodling. I hope you lovelies like it 😊

Those who know me will know that travel is one of my absolute favourite things to do (when the world isn’t broken that is!) So finding a way to combine my love for all things creative, with my eternally itchy feet has always been an ultimate goal.

Let’s call this ‘attempt one’ 😆. We’ve been forced to stay closer to home of late (anyone notice?) so it seemed apt to appreciate some of the colourful prettiness in our own capital. This iconic car and house combo is in London’s Notting Hill 🤩. Would anyone else move in there tomorrow?
