🏆 A brilliant evening at the People First Independent Advocacy Awards which was held last night at The Halston.

We were delighted to be sponsoring the People First Awards again this year, and even more proud to present the Rising Star Award.

This award recognises a learner who has made significant improvements and overcome personal challenges over the past year — making it a particularly special award to be involved with.

It was fantastic to celebrate the achievements, dedication and progress of so many individuals and organisations at the awards. There are some truly inspiring stories behind the people recognised, and it was a privilege to be part of the evening.

Last week, our Group Business Development Director, Ian Boyd, visited Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice. It was a privilege to see the care, thought and warmth that go into these spaces.

Ian had a rare opportunity to see Jigsaw’s children’s unit while the children were outside. From its colourful bedrooms and welcoming communal spaces to quiet areas and a kitchen where children and young adults can bake, every detail felt considered. The butterfly placed on a door when a child or young adult dies, and the memorial jigsaw in reception, were especially moving.

Emma also shared just how much fundraising makes this care possible. Around 17% of their funding comes from the NHS, leaving them to raise over 5 million each year. Their team is busy promoting fundraising opportunities including a race around Europe, Club 24, the lottery and Reindeer Run for schools. They’re always keen to hear from people interested in supporting the charity through fundraising or volunteering, too.

He loved seeing the pop-up café, open to everyone on Mondays and Tuesdays for a
catch-up, a cuppa and homemade cake. He says he'll definitely be back! ☕🍰

Emma told us how grateful the hospice is for Sean Haren (Print Point Group Director)and the team’s hard work and Print Point Group’s continuing support.

We’re proud to play a part, and even more grateful to the staff and volunteers for everything they do.
