Here's why we do a fuse modification with a service for the Ion Obelisk range! Those blackened wires were originally brightly coloured. I wish I could do this post in "Smell-Vision" to give you an idea of how bad this burn out has been - but it's not all bad news, we'll soon have it working again!

We have just launched the first ever Phono Upgrade for Vinyl lovers who would like to improve the sound of their classic Nytech Amplifier.

The XDS Phono Board is an upgrade to the original XD board fitted to classic Nytech CTA252XD/CTP102 and early (MK1) CA252 and CP112 amplifiers. The new board works with both MM and MC cartridges and features the same MC “current amplifier” as used in our CDP132 phono stage. The MM section has also been improved resulting in a considerably lower noise floor than possible with the original boards.

If you are handy with a soldering iron it's easy to fit yourself, or you can have it fitted as part of a service with just the cost of the board added (no extra labour charges).

A big THANK YOU to all the people who came to visit us at the North West Audio Show last weekend. The feedback on our new products for vinyl lovers - the CDP132, MCP1 and MCA1 was humbling and spectacularly positive, particularly for the musical enjoyment. We also had a lot of very positive and useful feedback on some new products we took along which hopefully will be appearing before the end of this year.

Likewise a massive thank you to Gareth, David and Christine from Cadnam Audio who bent over backwards to make sure that our amplifiers and their speakers are a perfect match for those who love their music.

Finally, thank you to Kris and the rest of the organisers of the North West Show and all the staff at DeVere Cranage Hall who worked so hard to make the show a big success for us.

Hopefully we will see you all again next year!
