PLEASE BE AWARE ⚠️
The government has released further details about UK-wide test of an emergency alert system.
A message will appear alongside a loud alarm on millions of mobile phones at 3pm on 23 April.

The text that will appear has now been revealed - and it will say: "This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there's a life-threatening emergency nearby.
"In a real emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe. Visit gov.uk/alerts for more information.
"This is a test. You do not need to take any action."

To opt out of the test you can turn your emergency alerts off in settings, the link that follows is a YouTube clip provided by Refuge, a domestic violence charity, showing how to find your emergency alerts on both Android and Apple devices.

This scam message is doing the rounds again, originated on WhatsApp it is now largely circulating via text message according to WHICH?
We have been made aware of four people receiving the same message this week.
The next step is to ask for money.
DO NOT RESPOND. Report by forwarding the message to 7726 (this spells spam) and block the number.
