The BrandMeister Hoseline is a web-based real-time audio streaming platform that allows you to listen to amateur radio Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) traffic directly through a web browser or app without needing an actual radio, hotspot, or amateur license. It pulls live digital voice data from the world's master nodes across the global BrandMeister Network and decodes it on-the-fly into audible sound for internet streams.

No Radio Equipment Required: You can monitor global amateur traffic strictly using an internet-connected device.

Real-Time Visual Interface: The dashboard displays active traffic as clickable "blocks" or "bubbles". Each block displays the currently transmitting ham operator's callsign and the specific Talkgroup (TG) number.

Single & Multiple Monitoring: Clicking a single talkgroup block focuses your audio on that room. Alternatively, you can use the built-in multi-talkgroup player to listen to multiple rooms simultaneously.

Built-In Audio Enhancements: It utilizes an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to normalise differing volume levels between operators and applies filters to reduce harsh digital noise introduced by voice codecs.

Integrated VU-Meter: A real-time, color-coded signal meter measures raw audio levels (independent of the AGC) to help identify over-modulated or quiet signals.

Common Use Cases

Shortwave Listening (SWL): Enthusiasts who do not hold an amateur radio license can easily monitor global ham conversations.

Audio Diagnostics: Licensed ham operators use it as a "loopback" tool to confirm their own signal is hitting the network correctly by checking if their callsign pops up and streams with good audio.

How to Access It

The service is entirely free and accessible through standard web browsers or mobile operating systems.

Web Browser: Access the official platform directly at the BrandMeister Hoseline Portal.

Android: A dedicated application is available on the Google Play Store.

iOS / Desktop Alternative: You can open the webpage via Safari on an iPhone or iPad and select "Add to Home Screen" to use it as a web app.

Andrew (G7HNG) has proposed a new Thursday evening DMR net on the London Talkgroup 2358.

This would be interconnected with the GB7LO repeater as a static Talkgroup on Timeslot 2. I would be very happy to hear your thoughts and comments on this idea.

Does anybody have updated pre-built codeplug with must of UK DMR BrandMeister repeaters with contact list that I could tweak for the Motorola DP4800/DP4800e.....

Hi everyone do you think this is a good idea,

A Sunday morning net on TG 2358 10-12pm would fill a gap. Most UK DMR activity clusters around evening nets and the weekday commutes, so a late morning slot gives people who work nights, or just aren’t up for 8am, a chance to check in.

1. London DMR link - We got the local traffic from GB7LO already. Giving them a TG 2358 slot keeps it London but open to anyone on BrandMeister.

2. 2 hour window - 10-12 gives time for ragchew, not just a quick roll call. 10am start catches post-breakfast ops, 12pm finish before lunch/afternoon jobs.

3. In association with Bromley Repeater Group are on board, you get instant credibility and a few regulars from day one.

Things to think about before we kick it off:

• Net control - We would need 1-2 people willing to rotate as controller so it doesn’t die after 3 weeks.

• Announce it - Post it on the Bromley Repeater Group's Facebook, and Say “open to all, not just Bromley” so we don’t limit it.

• TG 2358 load - The BrandMeister dashboard. TG 2358 is low traffic most Sundays, so you won’t be stepping on anyone.

You view: Go for it. Start with a 4-week trial, announce it 2 weeks ahead, and see who turns up.

If we get 5-8 check-ins consistently, it’s worth keeping. Worst case you’ve given the local DMR guys another excuse to fire up the hotspot.
