Sometimes you want to work on a project because it means a great deal to you and it’s got nothing to do with money or profit.

I’m a dog owner and have long believed that technology can help people be reunited with their lost pets faster. Social media is often used for this but an app with a dedicated “lost dog” feature will only improve the outcomes. So I approached NFDOG (New Forest Dog Owners Group) with the idea. They loved it and got on board straight away and worked diligently with me to help develop a unique app experience.

The app was officially launched today at The New Forest and Hampshire County show in Brockenhurst with show Chair Martin Stewart helping NFDOG’s David Bennett demonstrate the app in action to an assembled crowd (pictured).

Have I made any money from developing this app? No. Do I care? Not at all. If it helps just one person to be reunited with their lost companion then it will have been worth the many hours of development. And that makes me feel great.

I missed a walk today with the girls because of a meeting so I think at lunchtime Amber was making sure she knew EXACTLY where I was and if I was going to move anywhere 😂🥰🐾🐶
