At our Second Sustainable Reality Event, Marcel van Drunen from Borealis Data Center delivered an insightful talk titled “Carbon-free Colocation: What’s Stopping You?” He discussed the advantages of choosing Borealis, which operates on 100% renewable electricity and boasts an impressive Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.03.

Marcel highlighted the benefits of cooling in Iceland, where the climate provides natural cooling solutions, with average monthly temperatures ranging from around -3 to +3°C in January and from +8 to +15°C in July. This unique environment enhances energy efficiency while reducing carbon footprints.
