✨ We were delighted to welcome Year 8 pupils from Beaudesert Park School yesterday for a brilliant day of engineering and digital innovation!

Students got hands-on with engineering, discovering how it shapes the world around us and exploring the exciting careers it offers.

They then sharpened their coding skills in a creative programming workshop, tackling problem-solving challenges.

Our own students from the UTC then ran a robotics workshop using Spheros for ten‑pin bowling, maze challenges, and an energetic game of robot Quidditch! 🤖🏆

It was fantastic to see so much curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm - we hope to welcome many of them back again soon! 👏

Another morning spent saying a final farewell to the lovely Class of 2026's Year 13 😊 Very proud of them all for securing their next steps, whether it be University, an Apprenticeship or Work - you've done it! 🙌

Before half term, we spent the day celebrating and saying goodbye to the Class of 2026's Year 11 🥳 Wishing them the best of the luck in the rest of their exams and with whatever they decide to do in September 🙌

🌟 Last week, we were delighted to welcome Professor Abu Alam, Senior Lecturer in Computing at the University of Gloucestershire, to the UTC, along with three of his PhD students. Our Year 10 Cyber Security and Digital Forensics students took part in an engaging and interactive workshop focused on protecting servers. The session provided valuable real-world insight into cyber security practices, and students will use their learning from this activity to support their own explanations of the importance of cyber security🔒

Yesterday's Careers Fair was an excellent success!! Our students conducted themselves with great maturity and professionalism throughout. They continue to be a credit to the UTC by demonstrating a genuine commitment to exploring future pathways🌟

A massive thank you to Great Western Air Ambulance for delivering CPR workshops to our Year 10's today! They led our students through what needs to be done in an emergency medical situation, how to determine the difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest, how a defibrillator works and where to find one. 🙌

While the UTC is driven by STEM, with daily reading among UK teenagers dropping to just 18.7%, we're very lucky that our students still recognise the importance of stories and reading 💭
