Stopped off at SUKI Tea Makers I B Corp™ HQ today to pick up some matcha. Their building looks so cool in the sunshine and heat. Time to make myself something new, iced and brown sugary! 🧸

Day One of our trade mission to USA 🇺🇸

When I arrived at I had just booked a ticket for their Friday Brand EXPO in the uber about five mins before I was checked in.

The staff member didn’t know I had built the app they were using to check me in and it was a very rare opportunity to see your work being used in real time.

Outside of the front end shopify build we built .us a check in app that synced their Shopify ticket sales and allowed the Whiskey Festival volunteers to check you into the festival event in real time.

The shot of awe I felt when they searched my name and the ticket I had just bought came up and boom I was checked in. Real time product testing live in the realist time possible!

I can say is absolutely wrecked 🌀

It’s just coming 4am here. I got about 5 hours sleep but it would be coming 9am back home. So the time zones for this short trip will be the biggest hurdle to handle!

Everyone in Historic Irvington has been so friendly! ☘️

I even found a Reformer Pilates / Yoga studio on a lap around the block! 🌀

Real nice lunch time ‘Under the microscope session’ with / at

I’ve not been down the Ormeau Labs in a while. The energy in the building always makes me feel calm and cool, it’s a very cool space. Full of very cool people.

David’s talk was about the power of connection, building relationships and watching that shape your business life. I was super inspired. I took a lot from it. DHD are doing things so right as a studio based in Belfast building a team of creative champions.

They run a monthly book club, branded it and launched it. Would love to read with them sometime! They also do in house people focused projects like bake offs, getting out into nature and more.

As someone who is where David Henderson was many years ago right now. Where I am working solo and running a business while doing all the work it’s genuinely an inspiration to see what has built on this island!

Also it was lovely to meet a new marketing entrepreneur on the Belfast scene who came over to a chat with me so I did not have to eat my veggie bagel solo! Thanks April!
