Today is the opportunity for all of us to come together to celebrate and focus on women for their brilliance! As a woman the barriers, challenges and experiences both personally and professionally throughout my life have shaped who I am today and inspire me to create positive change. Whilst there have been wonderful highs there have also been the darkest of lows. Fighting for a seat at life's table based on your gender, race, disability or religion is something we must eradicate.
Women are strong, intelligent, resilient, compassionate, worthy and bloody brilliant amongst a million other things.

"Wild Idea Friday"
What if the CIO services you bought from us weren't designed to be a forever purchase? Ok, hear me out before raising those eyebrows or wondering if I have any business sense at all...

If you've got an IT team and some key individuals within your organisation who are hungry to learn then let's utilise that to drive your long term plans and ultimately save yourselves money.

Ethical conduct is something I am hugely passionate about. My own personal wealth doesn't motivate me; having lived in true poverty as well as the polar opposite end of that spectrum, it made me realise that true happiness came at the point of just enough. A roof over my head, nutritious food for my family and safety is perfect (ok and maybe a pair of Manolo's or Jimmy Choo's because we all need a guilty pleasure right?!😉). This ethos stretches into my approach to business too. What brings me the greatest joy in life is seeing others succeed; knowing they've worked their arses off and watching the brilliance unfold is simply magical! If I can help people achieve that I'm going to be there cheering and celebrating their wins and supporting them equally in those tough times too.
If a client no longer needs my services, a product or anything that isn't fit for purpose then I'm going to tell them and act upon it. Day after day I see and hear of companies being driven by greed and it both angers and deeply saddens me at the lengths some go to in order to get ahead.
Yes I may be the minority, yes I may well also be completely nuts but I know I can rest easy at night knowing that I've done the right thing by others. Each day if we all carry out an act of kindness, even if very small, the ripple effect would become a wave.

Stress happens when we feel threatened or pressured, and it’s something everyone goes through.
While some stress can be positive, helping us to stay alert and motivated, too much stress can significantly impact both our physical and mental health. Physically, it can lead to symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, chronic fatigue, and gastrointestinal issues due to the body’s prolonged release of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. Mentally, it can contribute to anxiety disorders, irritability, depression, and a decrease in self-esteem, as stress disrupts the neurotransmitter balance and brain function.
Here are some strategies to reduce stress:
*Stay connected: Speak to your line manager or colleagues; talking to friends and family can provide support and help you feel less isolated also.
*Exercise regularly: Physical activity can help lower stress hormones and improve your mood.
*Practise mindfulness and meditation: These techniques can help you stay grounded and manage stress more effectively.
*Get enough sleep: Quality sleep is crucial for stress management and overall health.
*Maintain a healthy diet: Eating well can improve your body’s ability to handle stress.
*Set realistic goals: Break tasks into smaller steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
*Take breaks: Short breaks during work or study can help you recharge and stay focused.
*Seek professional help: If stress becomes overwhelming, talk to your GP, a therapist or counsellor. There is no shame in asking for help EVER!
