On Halloween in 2021 I released the game "Solo Hero Reanimated" I spent all the money I had on commissioning the graphics. I'd wasted money on another graphics person who didn't deliver but had still taken some of my money. I had no money to advertise my game. So I asked my facebook friends to download and play the game; none did. Just to clarify I downloaded it, my wife downloaded it, my mum downloaded it and played it for months afterward, my two sons played it and I got another 4 downloads. One was Nigel who freely admits he didn't play the game but he did leave a five-star review and the words "great game". So three anonymous people downloaded the game. Out of all the hundreds of people, supposedly "friends" I had at the time, only 4 could download it and they might have been random strangers. It cost me thousands to produce and I recouped about £9. I can't help but feel the whole concept of "facebook friends" is totally fake. I have ditched most of those "friends" who as far as I'm concerned did nothing to help me or my family. You don't have to; but I don't think it's much to ask of a friend. I started a genealogy service and got no facebook commissions but my sister copied my posts and passed them off as her own. Which is much worse that just ignoring them. So I've had it with facebook and I've had it with a lot of "friends" who are quite happy to see me go under financially. I told them how they could help and they didn't lift a finger or they did worse. The damage is done and it's dealt with so if you didn't get booted from my friends list then I don't hold you in anyway responsible. Even now when I approach potential colleagues to work with me they all want paying but want to dictate how the work is done. I'm never going to pay anyone up-front again and may never make a viable game because I've not made money on previous games. I can't get a job outside of the games industry and can't stand the idea of going back into it; so my one chance is to make and sell my own games. Which is impossible while I have no money. So if anyone ever wonders why I've ejected them it was purely their lack of support. I have heard no valid excuses from any of those concerned. Two say "I don't like games". To that I say not making an exception for me is just as unacceptable. If you don't see me much on Facebook you know why now. It's not just about the money either; it broke my heart that no-one could bring themselves to play a little game I put my heart and soul into. And anyone who ever says the word "solidarity" to me again; I will laugh in their face 🙁

Ludopus is on haitus at the moment. I have no money to produce any more games. I will be starting a new enterprise under the Ludopus banner soon but for now I'm keeping quiet. More news to follow. I really appreciate and need your continued support.

Just to let everyone know. I didn't get enough volunteers so I've reluctantly decided not to go any further with the app I was going to release on Android. This does however mean my apps and storefront on the Android store will be taken down. Thank you to those who agreed to participate.
