Meet Martin Calder, one of LMX’s superstar DevOps engineers!

“The thing I love most about working at LMX is the collection of super-intelligent, like-minded, friendly, helpful people that I work with. We all have a passion for the work we do, and on the back of that, the team has developed a very clever, market-changing product. I enjoy being a part of clever things.

I have been with LMX since early 2019, and the best way to describe my role here is as a DevOps engineer, currently with a focus on integrating APIs for our customers. My goal? Help us be the best in the market.

I am an eternal optimist, always thinking outside the box, and I love problem-solving. I have been coding since I was 8 years old, but I have a creative streak too – prior to LMX I spent 6 years in the film industry as a VFX artist, and 10 years as an IT Infrastructure architect. I am always looking for ways to improve either the things I am working on, or indeed myself.

I always look forwards, and my favourite line from a film is “There is no present like the time”.

Oh, in 2011 I invented and patented a new type of computer processor.

I look forward to working with you.” 😊
