In the September edition of SUT’s Big Blue World, we share the story behind Hubro, exploring its development and the thinking behind its compact, multi-role design.

It’s also great to see Magnus Lindberg in the coverage of Gadgets & Widgets in Aberdeen, where he introduced Hubro and discussed its development with fellow members of the subsea community.

Alongside these features, C-Tecnics receives a welcome as a new SUT Corporate Member. It’s been a busy start to our membership, and we’ve enjoyed the opportunity to share ideas and meet others working across the industry.

All C-Tecnics-engineered products undergo design testing and verification appropriate to their intended application and operating conditions.

The methods used vary across our product range. These may include functional, electrical, pressure, load, release or breathing-performance testing, depending on what the equipment is designed to do. Independent testing and third-party conformity assessment are also used where required.

This approach is supported by our ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system, which is reviewed annually by SGS.

What if less hardware could do more?

Our Managing Director, Magnus Lindberg, took that question to the stage at Society for Underwater Technology yesterday.

Magnus explored some of the challenges facing ROV and subsea systems, and how we challenged ourselves to combine functionality that can often require multiple cameras, moving parts and associated hardware into one compact product.

The result was Hubro, our new virtual pan & tilt camera.

It was fantastic to see the interest continue after the presentation, with plenty of great conversations at our stand and the opportunity for attendees to get a closer look at Hubro and its supporting software.

We also heard from a brilliant mix of speakers throughout the day, with plenty of interesting and inspiring ideas on show from across the subsea industry.

C-Tecnics was proud to sponsor this year's Gadgets & Widgets, and as a new SUT corporate member, it was great to attend our first event since joining. We're looking forward to many more.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.

King Harald will be remembered for his lifelong service to Norway, his warmth and unifying presence, and his great love of the sea and Norway’s natural environment.

Our thoughts are with the people of Norway at this sad time.

The latest addition to the CT3014 Mantis 3 range combines 4K imaging with integrated focus, 20x optical zoom and an 8 MP CMOS sensor, supporting detailed subsea inspection and long-range underwater viewing.

Built for demanding environments, the Mantis 3 features a titanium housing, sapphire window and a depth rating of up to 6,000 metres.

Alongside the new 4K version, the range is available with HD, SD and HD-SDI outputs, as well as a Full HD IP model with Ethernet streaming. These configurations provide 30x optical zoom.

Twenty years ago, C-Tecnics set out to engineer reliable subsea equipment for some of the world's most demanding underwater environments.

Recently, we welcomed customers, suppliers, partners and friends of the business to our new Aberdeen headquarters to celebrate that journey, while also marking an exciting new chapter for the company.

Throughout the evening, guests explored our workshop, met members of the engineering team, saw many of our established product ranges up close and got an early look at several exciting developments currently underway.
