Disney’s Hidden Designs - Mark Twain
Another original IP for Disney Parks is the Mark Twain Riverboat. Making its maiden voyage 4 days before the opening of the park in 1955, this riverboat has been a staple of Disneyland since its very conception.
The overall theming of this attraction takes advantage of the American Reconstruction era architecture and design in which its story takes place, specifically within the type, signage and detailing of the boats railings. However, there is a strong use of simplistic design aesthetics that are commonplace within functional design work.
