It sounds so trite but it is so powerful. Using a coach as a mirror for your thoughts, feelings and desires in a confidential and non-judgemental space can have a profound effect on your life.

Try to find that tiny gap between cause and effect, action and reaction and decide how you want to act. Disrupting your autopilot is a great first step to becoming 'present'.

Choose how you want to feel, don't let other impose a feeling upon you and similarly you can always choose to be kind, so why wouldn't you?

I changed everything because I lost control.

Life is full of choices, sometimes we can look back in the rearview mirror and wonder how we got to where we are.

We can question; why am I doing something I don't enjoy? What led me to this feeling of unfulfillment?

The biggest mistake is resigning yourself to the idea that you can't do anything about it. You can!!

The first step for me in making seismic shifts in my lifestyle and career was simply to start a pet project upcycling unwanted toys and distributing them to families in my community that were facing financial difficulty.

It was a small step, but it altered the course I was on forever. Having to build a website, eventually led to me teaching digital marketing to MBA and MSc students.

I quickly realised that all I wanted to do was to help people. That made me spring out of bed and made feel like a joy, not an obligation. That led to me volunteering with Heropreneurs and learning NLP and how to coach with and the UK College of Personal Development.

Moving to France was a fringe benefit of realising there was more to life than traffic jams and cloudy skies.

So, life is full of choices; some big, some small. If I hadn't opened my laptop late one night in yet another business-stay hotel room perhaps I wouldn't be here now.

Healthier, happier and full of hope for the future where I can help people reach their happy place too.
