L'idée est que des professionnel et amateurs se rencontre pour créer des formes courtes, pluridisciplinaires, et de le faire le mieux possib
le dans un temps restreint. Le processus est le même que celui des "Kino Kabaret" (réunion de production et rencontre, création, représentation ...) "Théâtrokino" est un événement international, et ne requiert pas l'usage de la langue française pour y participer.

"THEATROKINO" is a transdisciplinary event combining theater and live arts, audiovisual, digital, sound, literature. It utilizes and morphs the approach of creation of the Kino-Movement: https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Kino_(mouvement) and "Kino Kabaret". The idea is, that creators meet to produce short, multidisciplinary works, and do it as best as possible in a limited time without budget. (Production meeting, creation, performance / projection.) "THEATROKINO" is an international event and does not require the use of the French language to participate. We are open also for English!

Pourquoi utiliser le terme Kino? L’utilisation du terme Kino qui signifie cinéma et qui se réfère à un mouvement de cinéastes n’est pas anodine. Nous avons longuement réfléchi sur l’idée d’intégrer le mot Kino dans le nom de notre manifestation. Ce choix nous est apparu naturel puisque celui-ci est quasiment devenu un nom commun pour les kinoïtes (notamment les nombreux comédiens, mais aussi les auteurs, techniciens, régisseurs, etc.) ainsi que pour le public visé. Kino Kabaret désigne ainsi précisément un style de manifestation: regroupement de personnes (professionnels et amateurs) sur un projet de création artistique à très court terme, quelques sessions de création, un thème imposé (ice breaking), des réunions de production, une création préparée avec un groupe connu d’avance ou bien improvisée avec des personnes que l’on ne connaissait pas auparavant…
En tant que kinoïte il aurait donc été étrange d’utiliser un autre nom que celui-ci pour cette manifestation théâtrale ; cela nous semblerait même être du plagiat, tant la forme que nous souhaitons lui donner relève clairement du mouvement Kino. En parlant de Kino Kabaret, il est facile de cibler notre manifestation dans sa forme et son fond.

Why use the term Kino? The use of the term Kino, which means cinema and which refers to a movement of filmmakers, is not trivial. We thought a lot about incorporating the word Kino in the name of our event. This choice seemed natural to us since it has almost become a common name for kinoites (especially the many actors, but also authors, technicians, directors, etc.) as well as for the target audience. Kino Kabaret thus precisely designates a style of event: a gathering of people on a project of artistic production in a short time, some creative sessions, an imposed theme (ice breaking), production meetings, a prepared creation with a crew known in advance or improvised with people we did not know before. As a kinoite it would have been strange to use another name than this one for this multimedia event with live on-stage elements. It would seem to us to be plagiarism, as the form we want to give is clearly part of the Kino movement. Speaking of Kino Kabaret, it is easy to target our event in its form and substance.
