Close ups, time laps and sketches of my poster for Collectif Untitled ‘s festival.
With this one I get to try new brushes and techniques to go deeper into my textured style.
I add to this post the sketches I first sent to the team. Interesting to see how we choose to go with one of my proposals without forgeting the other one; we choose to keep the sun and moon faces into the final design. The lineup in the sketches is kind of a music fan wet dream for me haha!
The festival is kinda split into two parts : the day event, with live music bands, jazz, funk, world music, and the night event, with mainly electronic and rap music. The team wanted the design to highlight this specificity, and ask for a duality into the artwork. That’s how I came up with this portals idea, entering through the day and it’s warm and psychedelic mood, then the night and it’s ritual-like smoke pillars, invitant the guests for an endless night of dance and party.
the egyptian theme being inspired by the venue, as the festival tales place in an ancient night-club with egyptian murals and huge columns. If was fun to search for ancient egyptian patterns and colors, try to find some inspiration without copying and add my soft-psychedelic touch.
