Teiskoon laittaisin ehkä edelleen Postilla, sori ny vaan.

”Learn Rust Programming Today” is available from booksellers worldwide. The companion app, Today, is developed further in its own GitHub repository (link in comment).

Latest addition to Today: a subcommand to print the configuration directory where you put the data files. Works in all supported operating systems. The book goes into great detail about how to define the command-line arguments and how to handle the TOML configuration. See also the book examples (link also in comment).

Announcing new book: Learn Rust Programming Today (out later this year)

For software developers who want to learn Rust. Different from most programming books: develop one tool from start to finish, and learn the essentials of Rust on the way. Everything is presented in the context of the application, not as isolated examples.

There is more information on the book home page (link in comment below). You can have a look at some sample chapters and the table of contents (as of now).

Let me know if this is something that would work for you (contact info is on the book home page). Your feedback is welcome! Also, please spread the word to others who you think could find this useful.

[The Today program is a command-line app to show historical events from multiple sources. It also computes your age in days! More details are on the book page. The program will be available on GitHub to support the book.]
