KATO Glitch Fuzz is returning as V2! 🛸

WHATS NEW:
- Powerful active tilt EQ tone control for the Fuzz channel. It's arranged so that you can dime the Volume to overload the EQ circuit!
- Third Glitch mode (titled Chaos) that is interactive with Fuzz channel controls and has enhanced tracking precision. Pick this mode if you want the glitches to feel more like an integral part of the Fuzz tones.
- Individual stereo outputs for Fuzz and Glitch channels. Use the Fuzz output only for normal mono mode. This one's for the experimentalists!
- Improved PCB layout with lower noise floor.

Sensitivity control is included as an internal trimmer, set up by default to suit medium to high output humbuckers. It can be adjusted to fit any pickup or signal level.

Kato V2 will be available 4th of April.

Yay guts!

Polemokori would be possible to with through hole components but it would result in unoptimal PCB layout and higher noise floor. SMD it is.

Hand wired everything besides pots.

This is a second prototype of an active isolating splitter that was designed couple years back. I got drawn to other stuff and it never got released as a DIY PCB like intended. I recently went back to it after a unit was requested. Maybe I'll get around to listing it this time?

Channels have dedicated HP and LP filters so its convenient to do fast adjustments for setups that use both bass and guitar rigs. Filters can be turned off for completely flat response.

The PCB supports two different in-production transformers at different price points so there's some flexibility in that regard. First proto used a Hammond 107H and this one has the Triad TY-250P.

It's a simple yet crucial element for many scenarios in stereo setups or recording.

While back I finished my Phantom Coil spring reverb, which is a DIY project by . I opted to use this spare enclosure which is not what's recommendes in the build doc but it does fit all of the guts when the PCB is rotated 90 degrees compared to how it's designed.

The sounds immediately made me think of the soundscape of Only Lovers Left Alive soundtrack with its wailing distorted echoing reverberation. The pedal is now part of my home practice/ambient noodling board.

I did couple mods to my piece. I really love the mod to enable the dry signal to be fully clean, and I'm sharing the general idea of how I implemented it in the last two slides. It's not a guide by a long shot but experienced builders should get it np.

Tried out UV printing for the first time today. The enclosure shown is for my personal Holy Island DIY Phantom Coil.

Love's Secret Domain is a salute to the band Coil, who are very important and influential to me.

I'd love to use this tech my UC, but currently it's beyond attainable unfortunately.
