Jonas Skov Follow Your Art! Jonas Skov is an artist and designer from Mallorca. He was born and raised in Denmark and moved around Europe before settling in Spain in 2002.

He specializes in bright, colorful, abstract art, and has shown his work in galleries & studios around spain. His art is currently being displayed at Maria Genovards studio in Arta, Mallorca. He is inspired by people, world cultures, religions, and folklore. He spends his time creating fine art at his work shop in Spain, and every chance he gets he loses himself in the mountains and gives himself

to the beautiful nature of Mallorca. Jonas Skov is creating his own colorful vision of the world one brushstroke at the time.

People often ask if I knew I could paint🧑🏼‍🎨. For a long time, my answer changed every time.🙈

Because… truthfully, I’m still not 100% sure I can.

Then it hit me: that question is actually a beautiful compliment. So now I always react the same — I just smile and say thank you 😌🙏🏼

Still figuring it out, bur one thing’s for sure: I stopped painting as a hobby a long time ago.

“The Great Catsby” found its perfect new home, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. 🧡

Let’s talk about gratitude for a moment.

When this wonderful family first walked into the little gallery, the dad locked onto the tiger painting immediately. You could just see the connection. But at the time, he didn’t feel like it was the right moment to commit.

What he didn’t know… was that his amazing wife secretly contacted me afterwards. She wanted to surprise him with the painting for his birthday.🐅

The excitement leading up to the surprise was alot😅. And during all the conversations and planning leading up to the big day, I got a small glimpse into what a loving and beautiful family they are.

And that’s one of the greatest parts about this art journey — sometimes you become a tiny part of someone else’s special moment.

I’m truly grateful I got to be part of yours.

Thank you for trusting me, and thank you for giving “The Great Catsby” such a beautiful home. ✨

I needed to hear this today 🤍
I wasn’t planning to share this with you just yet. I only took the photos yesterday.
I spent 40+ hours in my little studio last week, and I needed some distance from the artwork before showing it. But when I heard this text, I knew it was perfect.

No shortcuts. Just showing up.
A little reminder to do your thing. Water your craft. The right people, opportunities, and “butterflies” will come.
And if they don’t... you’ll still have a beautiful garden. 🦋 love it.

Last month flew by.
Some days, building a life as an artist in Mallorca feels uncertain, chaotic and hard… but then I look back through my camera roll and remember how much beauty is hidden in the middle of it all. ☀️

The people, the paintings, the late nights, the small wins, the sea, the moments in between.
I promised you I dont forget to appreciate it.

Let’s talk about connection for a moment.🩵😊🙏🏼

I paint because I feel a need to express something I can’t quite put into words. When I go deep into the process, it becomes about exploring—following the story that wants to be told, or a feeling that want to be felt. And once a painting is finished, a new challenge begins: how best to communicate or convey that feeling to someone else?

For me, Ruby was never about colors on a canvas. She’s was an invitation for me to slow down, to feel, and to connect. I always hoped that when she entered a space, she would bring that exact energy with her.

Ruby has now found her new home. She waited over a year—and the moment I met her new owner, I understood why. The connection was instant. You could feel it without needing to explain anything.

As an artist, I want to share my work. It always means something when someone invites it into their home. But those rare moments—when you truly feel someone connect with it on a deeper level—that’s something else entirely. There was only every one home for ruby, and she is there now.

That’s what it’s all about.🧑🏼‍🎨🙏🏼
