The €1.98/kg cocktail tomato price point continues: Penny holds it full week, Kaufland matches from Thursday into W30. The €1.98/kg pepper price point also reappears via Kaufland Bell Mix 500g (-41%, Mon-Wed only), first sub-€2 pepper since W26's exit.

Penny sets the lowest German potato floor since early June at €0.87/kg (Early 4kg, German-sourced, full Mon-Sat).

German blueberry season activates across EDEKA with national promo at €7.98/kg (500g packs, mostly German or Germany/Poland blend). ALDI Süd also holds €6.58/kg blueberry 500g full week. Strawberry only available at Kaufland. Regional apple deep cut continues to rotate, EDEKA 2kg at €0.75/kg, now Süd region only. Same price point moved through Nord (W25), Ost (W26), West+Süd (W27), now Süd alone.

Southern Hemisphere sourcing appears in apple and mandarin (Netto, Chile/South Africa).

Big tomato floor drops to €1.29/kg with two retailers tied full week: ALDI Plum Spanish (-35%) and LIDL Vine Dutch-sourced (-40%). Same shelf number, different origin.

DIA sets a new Spanish potato floor at €0.87/kg below the €0.95 Carrefour record that held through W25-W28.

Polish blueberry reaches Spanish shelves for the first time this summer : ALDI Blueberry 125g at €15.92/kg carries a Spain/Morocco/Poland blend origin. Same cross-border pattern seen in German EDEKA this week.

Apple category collapses to a single ALDI SKU (750g Spanish, €3.67/kg full week). Italian sourcing exits ALDI's leaflet after two consecutive weeks W27-W28 Italian presence, ALDI reverts to Spanish small-format only. Carrefour's long leaflet on 1kg apple ends on Monday.

ALDI opens the week as dominant discounter across categories driven mainly by local products. Berry category thins to blueberry-only. Carrefour's 5kg potato at €0.99/kg holds through mid-July.
Snapshot reflects retailers published so far. List will grow through the week as more leaflets go live.

One detail didn't fit the graphic: LIDL's catalogue prints €0.79 on the cover and €0.77 on the product page, just under "Deutschlands günstigster Preis" badge. Penny went out on Sunday at €0.79, and "cheapest" doesn't survive a tie.
My reading : Lidl trimmed the price by 2 cents to keep the badge honest.

The German market doesn't just have promo price memory, it reads competitors' leaflets in real time 😉

Big tomato floor structure continues from last week 2 floors.
In snacking tomatoes, Carrefour with local cherry facing Netto with imported baby plum. The 500g pack makes the offer more attractive for smaller baskets.

Intermarche facing Auchan on local potatoes but the offer is restricted to loyalty card owners buying 2 packs. Wide selection of berries, mainly local. Apple €0.70 baton continues: same shelf passes passes from Kaufland (W27) to LIDL (W28), both Polish origin.

Snapshot reflects retailers published so far. List will grow through the week as more leaflets go live.

Half the sharpest promotions activate only mid-week at PLUS and JUMBO.
Multi-buy stays the Dutch signature, 1+1 gratis and "2 voor X" mechanics across snacking, peppers, tomatoes and strawberries.

Dutch strawberry season at peak with 7/7 locally sourced SKUs, stark contrast with Spain's fully empty berry category this week so far. Dutch origin extends across apples, peppers, big tomatoes and potatoes too. Citrus, blueberries and raspberries are structural imports.

In tomatoes, the floor goes up +10cts/kg, 3 retailers direct-facing in big fruit, LIDL's vine tomato is Dutch-sourced, while ALDI's round tomatoes stay Spanish.
In peppers flour goes up as well, the number of items on promotions drops significantly, all products are sourced locally.
Spanish strawberry season almost closed, one product for just under 10 euros/kg, more expensive than the blueberry at Lidl at €8.8/kg (for loyalty card only).
ALDI brings Italian apples for the weekend (€1.53/kg).

German retailers keep on running price matching in tomatoes.
- Big tomatoes: 4 retailers tied at €0.99/kg vine 1kg, mostly NL/Belgium sourced. Netto slightly ‘apart’ at €1/kg.
- Snacking tomatoes: Cherry Vined holds the €1.98/kg floor at Kaufland for the sixth week. Baby Plum at €2.20/kg passes to Penny this week, continuing the LIDL W26 promo at the same price point.

The €1.99/kg pepper baton finally breaks, new floor lifts to €2.39/kg via Kaufland's Moroccan Pointed XXL from Thursday.

Regional apple cuts continue to rotate across DE regions. EDEKA delivers 2kg at €0.75/kg in West and Süd only (29/06-04/07, German). Each week the deepest cut moves: EDEKA Nord in W25, REWE Ost in W26, now EDEKA West+Süd in W27. Italian sourcing appears at Kaufland from Thursday (€2.22/kg, 900g).

German raspberry season at peak: 5 of 7 raspberry SKUs Germany-sourced (Penny, EDEKA Nord, REWE Nord, REWE Mitte blend, LIDL blend). The most consistent local-origin segment in W27 berries.

Strong competition in snacking tomatoes and peppers. The vine cocktail battle keeps on, Penny offering a local alternative. Baby plum back to game at €2.20/1kg offer (Lidl).

PEPPERS : LIDL extends its €1.99/kg price point from last week, this week on Bell Mix via Lidl Plus card, weekend only (25-27/06). ALDI Nord runs the same weekend window with Bell Mix at €2.22/kg. The rest of the market is way behind approaching €3/kg and higher.

BERRIES: German retail leads this week compared to neighbors in breadth and sourcing diversity: 20 SKUs across all four berry types, with 7+ origin sources including explicit multi-origin blends (Spain/Morocco/Portugal, Romania/Serbia, Germany/Netherlands).

APPLES: REWE runs a national apple promo at €1.11/kg everywhere except the price-sensitive Ost region, where it matches the €0.90/kg floor set last week by ALDI Nord.
