A quick summary of what's new in the latest android version 4.4 Kitkat. If you have an android device you'll want to read this, and if you don't, then share it with your friends who do.
1) Immersive Mode: will allow users to view almost everything in full screen, such as web browsing, gaming, or watching videos. No more annoying nav bars and buttons when you don't them. The new immersive mode will focus only on what you want to see. Also an important feature is the navigation bar on the top is now semi-transparent and customizable.
2) Android For Everyone: The focus of this version of android was efficiency and speed. Android 4.4 was designed to run smoothly on devices having RAM as little as 512MB.
Another very important point to mention is that now with android 4.4 and all other versions to come, there will be no debate with carriers and manufacturers such as HTC or Samsung, on whether to make the latest version available for their consumers or not, since Google put all of its power and resources into making the most efficient fast and stable android version yet.
3) Google Now: can be accessed right from the lock screen with a simple swipe. Now getting updated on weather, news, and getting directions is much more faster and convenient.
4) Dialer and Phone Application: Have now got a new icon and completely new and improved interface. Apart from the sleek look and design, the phone application has some new and impressive next-gen features such as dialing the name of a restaurant or store, and the dialer uses your location to look for the nearest place that matches your search and automatically finds you the number, even if it is not in your contact list.
5) Hangouts: Google hangout will now replace the default messing service of android. Now Hangouts could be used to send and receive all types of messages (text, MMS, Google Chat, etc...)
