🌍 Research shows that a 4-day work week can boost productivity and improve employee well-being. Here’s a look at some countries that have implemented or are testing this approach:

Countries Embracing the 4-Day Work Week

1. Belgium
In 2022, Belgium introduced a 4-day work week policy, giving employees the option to work four days or stick to traditional hours. However, the total working hours remain the same, requiring longer days.

2. UK
A trial in the UK involved 61 companies and over 3,300 employees, led by researchers from Cambridge and Oxford Universities. The six-month pilot was successful, with most companies choosing to keep the 4-day work week.

3. South Korea
South Korea is set to discuss labor reform legislation that includes a 4-day work week. The focus is on improving work-life balance and increasing flexibility.

4. Iceland
Iceland ran a 35-36 hour workweek pilot from 2015 to 2019, involving 2,500 participants. The trial led to negotiations for reduced working hours.

5. Japan
Since 2021, Japan has been exploring ways to reduce working hours. The "Hatariakikata Kaikaku" campaign encourages businesses to adopt shorter work hours, flexible schedules, and paid leave.

6. Spain
In 2022, Spain began a trial for a 4-day work week with full-time workers. The policy has improved worker health and reduced fuel emissions.

7. Scotland
Scotland launched a 4-day work week trial for civil servants in January 2024, with nearly 140 public servants participating.

8. Portugal
In June 2023, Portugal partnered with 4 Day Week Global to trial a 4-day work week, involving around 39 private companies.

9. Denmark
Denmark has one of the shortest average work weeks globally, at 33 hours, but has not officially adopted a 4-day work week.

10. Australia
Australia participated in a 4-day work week pilot in August 2022, with 20 companies across various industries rating the program 8.2 out of 10.

πŸ™‚Hey, how are you?

Do you want to learn more about white-label software? We have prepared some information for you.

White Label software is a type of software solution that is developed by one company and then rebranded and resold by another company under its own brand. Resellers can offer their customers software solutions without having to develop them themselves.

Thus, there are obvious advantages to reselling under one's own brand because it saves time and money compared to custom development.

πŸ‘Œ Do you want to learn more about the working principles and types of white-labeled software? In our article, you can read all about it ➑ https://brainyhr.io/blog/white-label-software-new-era-of-possibilities.html
