Here are 6 points you shouldn't ignore:

✅ Air filters - Filters should be checked and cleaned regularly: every 2 to 4 weeks under intensive use. If they are torn, deformed, or too degraded, the solution is to replace them. Dirty filters reduce efficiency and increase energy consumption.

✅ Outdoor unit - The outdoor unit must be kept free of leaves, dust, or objects blocking the grille, with a clear ventilation zone around it. The condensation coil (serpentine) should be cleaned periodically, and it's worth confirming that the unit's fixation and leveling remain correct to avoid unwanted noise.

✅ Condensate drainage - Water pooling near the indoor unit or a smell of dampness are signs of a clogged drain. The drain pipe should be checked for blockages, also ensuring the correct slope for proper drainage.

✅ Operating components - Noises during operation, failure to start, or the circuit breaker tripping frequently are warning signs. The electrical connections should be inspected and tightened, and the condition of the compressor, capacitors, and contactors should be checked.

✅ Fans - Noises, excessive vibration, or weaker airflow justify a check-up. It's important to check the fan's balance and mounting, as well as the motor alignment.
