Visca Catalunya!

I met Sam the very first time we went to Hamburg. For my 30th bday Berta Cayu bought tickets for one of the reunion shows The Specials played. Some friends of ours introduced us while Sam was DJing in some bar. Later that weekend he took us to a punk show, showed us the city, and drank mexicaners and Astras with us at Brigitte's. Not long after that he opened MONKEYS MUSIC CLUB and since the very first day, trusted me to design and illustrate tons of flyers for the Punk, Oi, Hardcore and Ska shows and festivals. You can see here a sample of some of the early stuff I did. Unfortunately I have only been there once, but I can tell you that's my kinda venue. Perfect size for small and not-so-small bands, good sound, a lovely bar with old pub vibes to have a quiet pint before and after the show... I wish I could travel more to visit more often and toast with Sam, Guinnes pint in hand!
Covid and bureaucracy hit hard though and now the venue needs help to survive, so please, go check the link to the gofundme in the venue profile and help saving one of the best venues in the world. Your favorite bands and I will deeply appreciate it!

Updated flyer for Pogorausch fest, courtesy of Mario Martin . I attended (and played) a few editions in Munich and it was always great. So I know 100% it just got better in such a cool place as Chemiefabrik Dresden . Watch out! THE HIDDEN KNIVES have been added to the line-up!

𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗥𝗘, 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗦.
