1979 Tamiya Rough Rider Tuning Project: "1st SAND RIDE"

This is my original 1979 Rough Rider that I spent a lot of hours on designing tuning parts to give it a better off-road performance. Full build video coming soon! :)

I love this buggy - it's gotten so much better!!!

Who’s that cool guy?! He looks like he wants to win!
🏁😁

- custom dashboard
- carbon roll cage
- racing steering wheel

He can only win.

🙋🏻‍♂️😄🤘🏽

How can I make this fit? Any suggestions? 😅

14/05/2026

Making some springs…. ☝🏽😃

13/05/2026

It‘ll probably not break again too soon! 45 years old ABS. Integrated roll cage! What do you think? 🤔😁

12/05/2026

It never stops… reinforcing the old ABS body with some carbon fiber and optimizing the rear shock mounts.
