Gozdava 1590 was founded by perfumer Agata Karolina in Cape Town, South Africa in 2015. Agata travels the world in search of exceptional, little-known materials, immersing herself in the landscapes they come from, to understand not just their scent, but the feeling of being there. Each fragrance is built around a single, rare find, sometimes captured directly, sometimes reconstructed with total fidelity when harvesting is impossible, carrying that place into the bottle. Her particular fascination lies with the botanical wealth of Africa’s southern tip, unfamiliar terrain, worked into unexpected combinations alongside materials gathered elsewhere.

VOZ takes part in our curated showroom: Female Fashion Voices at Paris Fashion Week, Sept 30 to Oct 3, showing 6 women fashion designers from around the globe!

Chilean ethical fashion brand VOZ was founded in 2012 by Veronica Currivil Nahuel and Jasmine Étoile Aarons, aiming to protect the livelihoods, well-being and cultural heritage of rural Indigenous women.

The brand works with Mapuche Master Weavers to revitalise ancient weaving techniques indigenous to the region. Each collaborative design incorporates symbols and knowledge passed down through family traditions, creating a space for these practices to be maintained and developed. The collections are made using fine natural materials from the Andean region, including baby alpaca, wool and Pima cotton.

Founded in 2021 by Priyal Dhaddha, HEMJI is an Indian conscious fashion label inspired by the spiritual value of gemstones and the quiet elegance of heirloom craftsmanship. HEMJI was born from Priyal’s grandmother’s intuitive eye for textiles and her grandfather’s mastery of precious gemstones, continuing that dialogue and turning their heritage into heirlooms for the modern soul.

Woven with rare stones and hand embroidery, every piece is composed with care to offer stillness, healing simplicity, and a gentle kind of power. A true marriage of minimalism and meaning.

Studio Conchita was established in Mexico City in 2019 by Renata Quirarte Blanco, who specialises in crafting colourful jewellery using traditional artisan techniques such as glass blowing or also known as ‘vidrio sopladio’. Her brand is the embodiment of Mexico’s glass-blowing heritage, traditionally considered a male craft being handed through over generations, reinterpreted through a woman’s perspective.

Renowned for her distinctive use of repurposed glass, she creates organically shaped pieces inspired by the vibrant tapestry of the ocean and nature with shapes like pearls and waves in focus.

Faible and Failure is a Hamburg-based artisan brand founded in 2019 by Isabelle Mann, focusing on creating high-end organic knits from alpaca, mohair, cashmere and silk, alongside pieces made from repurposed textiles.

The brand takes its name from a fascination with textiles and craftsmanship passed down through generations. Each piece is created by working with the materials at hand and valuing the intricate process of making, placing craftsmanship and community at the heart of the brand’s practice.

Reigning from the East coast of Africa, Hamaji was born in Kenya in 2017 by fashion designer Louise Neoma Sommerlatte . Hamaji, meaning ‘nomad’ in coastal Swahili, was created around preserving ancient textile traditions and nomadic craftsmanship while empowering small-scale artisans in Africa.

Built on the principles of sustainability and conscious consumerism, their collections are composed from natural fibres, botanical dyes, hand craft, embroidery, and up-cycled collected vintage textiles.
