The term "10x programmer" comes from a 1968 study that found some developers coded 20 times faster than others on the same team.

That idea still shapes how companies hire today. But raw coding speed rarely predicts who actually creates lasting value, the developers who reduce future costs and help their teammates grow tend to outperform the "lone genius" stereotype.

Here's what the research actually shows 👇

Anahit Khachatryan, founder of seoplus.am, tracks PPC success through one number most agencies skip: cost per signed client, not cost per lead. Her reasoning is simple. Fifty leads that produce one sale is a worse outcome than ten leads that produce five.

She also flags a pattern that costs businesses more than bad targeting: strong intent traffic landing on a weak funnel. Same ad spend, same keywords, but one law firm answers in 30 seconds with an intake team ready, and another lets calls go to voicemail. The traffic was never the problem.

She unpacks more of this here: https://techbehemoths.com/blog/techbehemoths-pay-per-click-expert-insights-2026

Joel Brooker, founder of JBE Digital, splits PPC into two distinct jobs: testing and scaling. A capped budget with clear kill criteria answers whether demand exists within weeks. Scaling, by contrast, only works once the offer is proven, the website converts, and the sales team can handle what comes in.

His biggest warning sign for wasted spend: when tracking can't draw a straight line from ad dollars to actual customers. Everything after that becomes guesswork, no matter how clean the dashboard looks.

Three studios, three ways of thinking about what makes a product work.

Brewapps LLC - full-cycle product development
Spaceberry Studio - product design for complex software
Airborne Studio - brand that shapes the business, not just its logo

Different countries, different focus, same instinct: build things people actually trust.

Companies build portfolios to prove they can deliver.

Clients read them to figure out who's actually telling the truth. The gap between those two things is where most bad hires happen.

A few things worth checking before trusting a portfolio: does it show specific results, or just praise? Do the projects vary in size and industry, or all look the same? Are the demos actually live, or just screenshots that used to work?

None of this guarantees a good partnership. But it filters out the obvious risks before you're three weeks into a project with a firm that oversold itself.

A professional portfolio is a collection of a company’s work, projects, products, and achievements. Every firm should recognize that a portfolio can strengthen its reputation and build...

A brand strategy built to "appeal to everyone" rarely converts anyone.

In a recent conversation with Andre Oentoro, founder of Breadnbeyond, he put it directly:

"When you speak to everyone, you resonate with no one. The brands that stand out have the courage to be specific."

The companies that struggle with recognition usually aren't lacking visual identity.

They're lacking a defined point of view - who they serve, and why that matters more than broad appeal.

Specificity is a business decision, not a creative preference. It shapes what gets built, what gets said, and who ends up buying.

Our top-scoring newcomer this round: Tesvan, based in Yerevan, Armenia.

They lead with AI product testing, catching LLM failures like hallucination and safety issues before they reach users, using their own validation tool, TrustForge, alongside full-cycle software QA for everything else.

Is your team testing AI products with the same rigor as the code around them? 💬

The “10x programmer” is one of the most persistent myths in software.

The idea comes from a 1968 study of 27 people working individually - not in teams or real-world product environments.

Writing more code, faster, doesn’t necessarily mean delivering better software. Strong engineering is also about maintainability, sound decisions, knowledge sharing, and reducing long-term complexity.

We looked at where the 10x idea came from and what it means in modern software teams:

The software industry has long used the term 10x programmers to describe an engineer who is believed to produce work equivalent to several average developers. The “10x programmer&rdquo...

We keep hearing the same question from companies: why isn't our content working, even though we're publishing more than ever?

So we sat down with Lianna Arakelyan from Triune Digitals and Karol Andruszków from Concept21 Agency to ask them directly. Their answer wasn't about volume. It was about whether the content actually helps someone make a decision, and whether anyone bothered to check what happened after it was published.

Some of what they shared surprised us, especially around how they're using AI without letting it replace the parts that actually build trust.

Read the full conversation:

Content marketing has never been easier to produce. But with AI accelerating content creation and competition for attention growing, businesses face a bigger question: What content actually...

The most expensive content mistake isn't publishing too little. It's publishing without knowing why.

Karol Andruszków, CEO of Concept21 Agency sees it constantly: companies ask "how many articles should we post?" before asking who they're trying to reach or what action they want that person to take.

Traffic without leads. Generic AI content with no expert check. Great content that never gets distributed beyond the blog. And almost nobody measuring what happens after the click.

His point lands hard: views mean nothing if the right people never see them.
