Did you know that Hardware-In-the-Loop (HiL) is a powerful tool for testing and verifying the performance of electronic control systems? At TeKshift, we use this test setup to simulate the real-world environment in real time!

Our controllers’ inputs are physically generated by the HiL (e.g. accelerator pedals are not just only a logic signal but a real 0 to 5V signal!). Our controllers’ outputs are also monitored and drive the simulated systems in the HiL. So, the outputs have a direct impact on the simulated systems, this is a closed loop system. This HiL test setup allows us to inject faults on the system without damaging any components, run non-regression tests, pre-tune our controllers and validate our embedded software on a vehicle life cycle (e.g. WLTC or even a fast lap on your favorite race track)

Thanks to the HiL, we manage testing without the need for expensive physical prototypes and testing equipment. It's a cost-effective way to ensure that the final products will perform as expected before they're even built and improve the reliability and safety of our embedded software.

Our new trainee Marine is optimising our HiL in order to minimize the time to change from a project to another.

2022 was a very challenging year for TeKshift and we are quite proud to have reached our targets and even far beyond. Many thanks to the whole team for their daily commitment and special thanks to our customers for their trust.
Let’s move to 2023 then, with enthusiasm and plenty of new ideas.

At TeKshift, we see in hydrogen a strong paradigm shifter that will play its role to reach carbon-neutral transportation. Alongside with battery electrification, part of our R&D focuses on this developpment. We are currently working on adapting our generic Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) Software to manage a Fuel Cell System with its H2 tanks, while fitting in the latest New Eagle Control Units !

Wondering what Tekshift engineers are working on? Testing our H2 reservoir control software integrated in the latest Electric Vehicle Control unit by New Eagle. The tests take place in our hardware in the loop lab: focus on the closed loop current control of the H2 tank head electro-valves with the support of APAIX, our data analysis tool.

TeKshift is working with the latest vehicle control units by New Eagle that are developed for both Fuel Cell and Electric Vehicle control. The brand new Raptor RCM112 Control Unit runs with TeKshift Contol Software and will be used for exciting Hydrogen and Electric performance vehicles in future.
