✨ S U E Ñ A ✨

En el 2014 decidí volver a mi tierra querida, Colombia, para buscar mi independencia y crecimiento personal después de un largo tiempo de vivir en Monterrey. En el 2016 me reencontré con la pintura gracias a que me abrió las puertas de su taller y me impulsó a sacar esta pasión que tenía dormida. Luego, un 7 de febrero del 2017, después de mucho cuestionarme hacia dónde quería enfocar mi vida y mi profesión, tuve la claridad y determinación de hacer del arte algo latente, vivo y activo, no solo como un pasatiempo. Entonces escribí una carta a toda mi familia y amigos más cercanos para contarles la decisión que había tomado y la alegría de sentirme apoyada por tanta gente que me quiere para sacar adelante este sueño, pues el arte siempre ha sido parte de mi vida.

El camino ha sido retador, con altibajos y momentos de incertidumbre, pero también encantador.

Por azares de la vida, hoy estoy escribiendo esto desde Monterrey, ciudad que nos acogió a mí y a mi familia en el 2001 y hoy me vuelve a recibir en otra etapa de mi vida, en medio de una pandemia y con muchas ganas de abrir nuevas puertas, tener nuevas oportunidades y crear cosas increíbles desde esta ciudad de clima extremo, gente chingona y montañas majestuosas!

“Plastic Meals” vs “Breakfast in Fur”.

My reinterpretation of the most famous piece of Méret Oppenheim, which was conceived after a casual conversation between Oppenheim, Picasso and Dora Maar. They joked that perhaps ‘anything could be covered in fur’, even a cup and saucer.

”Plastic Meals” is my conceptualization after analyzing how we humans are great producers and avid consumers of plastic. We eat in plastic plates when we don’t want to wash dishes, we even ‘eat’ plastic food when we don’t want to cook and then we generate trash with all that plastic we used. We live in a plastic world. Are we the ‘plastification’ ourselves?

This has me generating many ideas 💡

Dreams are much more enjoyable and achievable when you have the support, love and company of your loved ones. Thankfully, I have a huge band of “cheerleaders”, family and friends! 🤗🙌🏼💛. That day, in October 2019, was the opening exhibition of an art wall in a very nice coffee place , where I exhibited two lithographs (as follow in the pictures). @ Guayoyo Café
