I visited Highgate Cemmetry, London, in the summer and have been itching to create painting from my photos. Finally found time to experiment a little. White and blue watercolor on black watercolor paper. Painting in reverse is challenging.

Have been practicing monotones and loosing up the watercolours. I love experimenting, its great to have a little time to practice, watch tutorials, make mistakes and try new techniques.

I'm working towards a colaborative exhibition in Taipei in the spring. I've been so busy with school work, training courses and travelling, that I haven't picked up a paint brush for my own practice in months. Life getting back in balance now - roll on half term! Time to find my mojo again!

We have a couple of typhoon days so schools have been closed in Taipei. Its been a welcome pause and i've had chance to get the paints out and make some resources for next weeks class.

Small can be mighty, just completed this small watercolour study of a carved stone panel hidden away in plain sight in the city of Taipei. Just one of thousands of details that are part of the cities rich tapestry but are mostly overlooked by passers by. Watercolour 20cm x 22cm.
