What are the commissioning steps for an ESPE safety light curtain?
Many mechanical devices require commissioning after the safety light curtain is installed to prevent problems during normal operation. How should the commissioning of the safety light curtain be performed after installation?
Step 1: Check Indicator Lights: Turn the power switch to the "off" position. After the safety light curtain is installed, turn on the power to supply power to the equipment; the indicator lights on the safety light curtain will illuminate.
Step 2: Align the Light Curtain: Turn on the power to the safety light curtain and adjust the positions of the transmitter and receiver, ensuring they are parallel and level. When the alignment is accurate, the red indicator light on the receiver will turn green.
Step 3: Inspection and Testing: Block each beam of the safety light curtain with an object and check the indicator light signal status on the receiver of each blocked beam.
Step 4: Test Run: Once all safety beams have been correctly commissioned, the system can be put into trial operation.
Safety light curtains are primarily used to protect machinery, equipment, and personnel. Proper installation, debugging, and maintenance are essential to ensure their effective protection. www.espetech.com
