The component looks fine — so why can reflow still cause problems?
Sometimes, the issue is something you cannot see:
moisture.
Certain package materials can absorb moisture during storage.
Once they enter high-temperature reflow, that moisture may increase the risk of:
cracking, delamination and other reliability problems.
That is why SMT production is more than:
Placement → Reflow
It also starts with:
proper storage
moisture control
floor-life management
baking when required
Reliable manufacturing begins before the component reaches the placement machine.
Quality control starts before placement.

Is the job done once solder paste is printed onto the PCB?
Not quite.
Before component placement even begins, solder paste printing is already influencing the quality of the later soldering process.
The stencil defines where paste should be deposited.
The printing process transfers it onto the pads.
Then SPI checks parameters such as height, area, volume and offset.
Because insufficient paste, excessive paste or misalignment can all create problems later in placement and reflow.
The real goal is simple:
find printing issues before they move downstream.
Stencil → Printing → SPI
Good soldering starts before placement.

V-cut or Routing + Mouse-Bite?
This decision should not wait until the final depaneling step.
V-cut is efficient for straight and regular edges.
Routing + Mouse-Bite provides greater flexibility for irregular or complex board outlines.
But good panelization also considers:
component clearance, depaneling stress, panel rigidity, production handling and final edge quality.
A good panel is not simply several PCBs placed together.
It should remain practical and stable through:
SMT → Inspection → Handling → Depaneling
Good panelization is part of good manufacturing.
