Having an X-Ray machine is one thing. Knowing how to interpret the image is another.
For BGA, QFN and other components with hidden solder joints, X-Ray can reveal what visual inspection simply cannot.
But producing an image is only the first step.
A meaningful inspection still depends on what the inspector looks for, how abnormalities are judged, and which acceptance criteria are applied.
At POE, our X-Ray inspection is handled by trained personnel with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 related qualifications, following defined inspection criteria and customer requirements.
That means X-Ray is not just an equipment capability — it is part of a controlled inspection process.
Working on a PCBA with BGA, QFN or other hidden solder joints?
Send us your Ge**er, BOM, CPL, target quantity and inspection requirements. We can review the assembly and X-Ray inspection needs before production.
And if your project is ready to move forward, eligible PCBA orders can save up to $600 before September 30.
