Dialogue Story: The Missed Bus
“Daniel! Hurry up, you’ll miss the bus!” his mother shouted from the kitchen.
“I’m coming, Mom!” Daniel replied while struggling to wear his sneakers.
Outside, the morning streets of Buea were already busy. Motorbikes zoomed past while students in uniforms walked quickly to school.
Daniel ran to the bus stop, breathing hard. But as he arrived, the school bus slowly drove away.
“No… wait!” he shouted, waving his hands.
His friend Michael laughed from the window. “You’re late again, Daniel!”
Daniel sighed deeply. “Mom is going to be so angry.”
Just then, an old taxi driver parked nearby and smiled.
“Young man, need a ride to school?”
Daniel looked surprised. “Really, sir?”
“Hop in before the first bell rings.”
Daniel smiled happily and entered the taxi.
“Thank you so much!”
The driver nodded kindly. “Next time, wake up earlier.”
Daniel laughed softly. “I definitely will.”
As the taxi drove through the lively city streets, Daniel looked outside the window and whispered,
“Today might actually turn out great.”
