AI Micro Drama: I Made a 35-Second Film From Scratch
I created a 35-second micro drama about my life using AI — from the story and images to the final video. In this video, I show you exactly how I did it using AI image generation, video animation and a simple editing workflow.

The story is loosely based on my life: I've never been married and, honestly, I love being single. 😄 But apparently, that doesn't mean there can't be drama…
“He's single. His secrets are not.”
I started by asking ChatGPT to develop original short-drama concepts based on my character and then selected one designed for a short social-media video.
From there, I broke the story into 7 scenes, with each scene lasting around 5 seconds.
For every scene, I created:
✅ An AI-generated image
✅ A prompt describing the scene
✅ An animation prompt
✅ A short video generated from the image
I used the AI text-to-image tools to create the visual starting points, then animated each image using Seedance 1.5 Pro.
The workflow is simple but surprisingly powerful: instead of trying to generate one complicated 35-second movie in a single step, you create individual scenes and then assemble them into one coherent micro drama.
I then brought all seven generated clips into the video editor, placed them on the timeline, and exported the final video.
The result is a short AI-generated drama that can be shared directly on social media.
The model I used here was a relatively inexpensive option, so you can experiment with more advanced video models if you want better quality. I also tested audio generation, although the voiceover wasn't perfect in this particular experiment.
This workflow can be used for much more than fictional stories. You could create social media stories, short films, advertisements, character videos, comedy sketches or fictional versions of your own life.
