Ending 2023 on a high note at Saudi Airport Exhibition! The event was filled with delightful surprises and achievements, from extending a warm welcome to our valued customers at our booth to showcasing SITA's latest innovation that enhances the passenger experience seamlessly. From engaging panels and testimonials to interviews, our colleagues discussed various trending topics in the aviation industry. ✈

Finally, we capped it off by celebrating our success, securing two awards – one as the winner for Passenger Experience and another as the first runner-up for Innovation and Technology. As we look ahead, we are optimistic that 2024 will bring abundant success for SITA. 🏆

Meet Nicole Hogg, our Portfolio Director for Baggage. She explains that post-pandemic staff shortages, coupled with the surge in travel, have led to operational challenges related to demand, delays, airport capacity and baggage handling resources. As a result, many passengers are extremely anxious about missing or mishandled baggage. 🧳✈

Fortunately, airlines are paying attention and are turning to SITA’s digitalization and automation solutions to ensure they have full, real-time visibility and intimate management of every bag.

We’re delighted to announce we’ve renewed our ISO14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems - EMS) certification for eight of our SITA offices globally. The offices are based in Atlanta, Burlington, Dubai, Geneva, London, Montreal, Rome and Singapore, accounting for more than a third of SITA office staff. ISO14001:2015 certification provides an externally audited assurance to SITA’s customers and partners of our commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible practices. 🌿🌎

We are excited to announce our partnership with the Faculty of Transportation Sciences, CTU, in Prague. This renewed cooperation will focus on both the training of new professionals and project plans in the field of air transport. ✈️

A team of experts from SITA and Fakulta dopravní ČVUT v Praze will oversee the cooperation and develop a concrete project plan and joint activities, one of them being SITA DAY. This day will introduce SITA not only to Faculty of Transportation Sciences students but will be open to all interested students from CTU to explore and learn more.

As the global leader in air travel technology, we believe in nurturing the curiosity and potential of young minds. We recently had five high school students visit the SITA Dubai office, and it was an incredible week of learning, discovery, and inspiration.

During their visit, the students got the chance to witness first-hand how our solutions are revolutionizing the aviation industry, making air travel safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable. Our colleagues shared their knowledge and experiences and offered valuable insights into their careers in aviation technology and the history of SITA. Our goal was to provide these future innovators with a glimpse into the exciting world of aviation and the limitless possibilities it holds, and we look forward to seeing these students enroll in our graduate positions in the future.
