How quickly can your teams turn natural hazard data into something they can actually use?

Tracking events such as tropical cyclones and tsunamis requires more than simply having access to the latest data. The information needs to be structured, updated, and presented in a way that makes its spatial impact easy to understand.

In Graph by Quarticle, these events are shown in an interactive geospatial environment, making it possible to explore event locations, tracks, forecasts, and other relevant information in one place.

New in Graph by Quarticle: Global Tsunami Events Layer

The layer uses NOAA data to map tsunami events globally, with event causes shown by colour. Point size represents event intensity according to the Soloviev-Imamura tsunami intensity scale.

Behind the layer, an automated Airflow DAG continuously updates the data to keep it synchronized with the NOAA database. This automated pipeline ensures the layer stays up to date without relying on manual updates.

Keeping the data current is just as important as making it available for analysis.
