A new place to shop, just around the corner. 🛒

For years, neighbours in Elmwood told us the same thing: getting affordable groceries close to home isn't easy. So we built something to change that.

I'm perfectly fine with losing followers because I post how we shouldn't be doing business or voting solely for financial gain.

I am Indigenous, Scottish and Ukrainian. I am also light skinned, therefore I have white privilege.

White privilege is not having to worry if someone is going to do harm to me, my business or my family based on where I was born or the color of my skin.

It does not mean I have never struggled or lived in discrimination, it means I have always been safer in public than those who have not had white privilege.

It is our responsibility as educated and evolved humans to stand up and look out for our community.

You are exploiting your privilege when you make your income avenue choices solely based on financial needs and not human rights.

I do not condone violence of any kind to anyone. I do believe that freedom of speech is not freedom of consequences.

If that closes doors for me, I probably never wanted to walk through them in the first place.

We didn't want to lose more money and knowing the backlash would be bad we still brought the previous organizer who owned the blow up maze to come and help with it.

Please don't be mean to us for knowingly working with people that make a majority of the community feel unsafe.

I posted this July of last year.
Same message different design.

Macklemore said it perfectly.
Foster children are being deported.
Parents removed before children have a safe adult.
Bombing and war killing so many innocent.
Bombing and war killing so much of our planet.
A mother going to court to become legal gets deported leaving 6 kids behind.

If your YT and an immigrant you are untouched.
The rac/sm is very loud and clear.
All people of North America and US are immigrants.
What happened to love thy neighbor?
If your pro-life to a fetus why arent you anti war to all the living children and mothers?

**Make it controversial to not speak up about whats happening.**

The only thing I can think of to do from here is to be loud about it, share it, scream it or create something.

Its been a year and worse things have happened. Not only that there have been people standing ten toes down that there's no problem with bombing children.

Silence against the oppressor damages the oppressed.
